The Spring Creek Nature Trail is home to a variety of wildlife species, large and small. The lakes on the western end of the trail are a great location for bird watching. Throughout the year you can see a variety of bird species as they migrate through the Gulf Coast region.

Great Egret (Ardea alba). Great Egret's are a large white heron, and typically feed on fish, frogs, insects, snakes, and crayfish. Breeding adults typically have long white plumes extending past their tail. They are common to coastal marshes and inland wetlands.
